Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Mihk McKinney netted 21 points to propel the Sacramento State Hornets to a 73-59 decision over the Cal State Fullerton Titans in non-conference action at The Nest.

Alex Tiffin added 15 points for Sacramento State (5-3), which came into the contest on a two-game losing streak. Cody Demps chimed in with 14 points, while Dylan Garrity tallied 11 points and five assists.

Moses Morgan led the Titans (3-7) with 15 points. Alex Harris provided 12 points and seven assists. Josh Gentry scored 11 points, while Steve McClellan posted 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds.

The Hornets took a 33-24 lead into the intermission after they knocked down 48 percent of their field goal tries and assisted seven of their 12 makes from the floor in the opening period. Cal State Fullerton was limited to 40 percent efficiency from the field, including a 2-of-9 clip from 3-point range in the first half.

The Titans came out of the break on fire as they used a 16-6 run to take a 40-39 lead with just over 15 minutes left in regulation. The hosts answered on their next possession as Demps buried a jumper to give Sacramento State a lasting lead. The Hornets ended the game on an 11-0 run as Cal State Fullerton missed its final four field goal attempts.

The Hornets converted 18-of-19 shots at the free-throw line and outrebounded the Titans, 29-25.
