Richmond, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kendall Anthony scored 18 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Richmond Spiders defeated the South Alabama Jaguars, 65-54, in non-conference action at the Robins Center.

Terry Allen accounted for 17 points and nine rebounds for the Spiders (5-4), followed by Shawndre' Jones and TJ Cline with 14 and 10 points, respectively, as they won for the second straight game and third time in four outings.

The Jaguars (2-6), losers of three straight, failed to have a single player score in double figures in the contest. Taishaun Johnson, Dionte Ferguson and Ken Williams each tallied nine points in the setback.

South Alabama struggled from the floor in the first half, converting just 33.3 percent, which included a mere 2-of-11 showing behind the 3-point line. The Spiders were slightly better from the field at 40.0 percent, yet led by just three points at the break, 28-25.

After failing to make a single appearance at the free-throw line in the opening 20 minutes, Richmond connected on 11-of-14 at the stripe in the second half, en route to the double-digit triumph.

The Jags, who trailed by as many as 13 on the night, turned the ball over 14 times and shot just 3-of-19 from the outside.
