West Lafayette, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - A.J. Hammons tallied a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, as the Purdue Boilermakers made easy work of the IUPU-Fort Wayne Mastodons, 63-43, in a non-conference matchup at Mackey Arena.

Hammons also blocked five shots for Purdue (7-2), which has won four of five. Kendall Stephens scored 13 points as well, while Isaac Haas netted 10.

For IPFW (5-3), which snapped a two-game winning streak, Joe Edwards scored 12 points and Steve Forbes tallied nine points and seven rebounds.

Purdue pulled away early in the game, as it outshot IPFW from the field in the first half, 46.4 percent to 22.6 percent, en route to a 35-19 lead at the break.

The Mastodons got to within seven points of the lead midway through the second half, but the Boilermakers put an end to the threat with an 11-2 run.

IPFW shot just 28.6 percent from the field on the night. It also struggled from the free-throw line (7-of-15).
