Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - LaDontae Henton scored 24 points to lead the Providence Friars to an 80-54 rout of the Florida State Seminoles during the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Henton had 10 rebounds and four steals for Providence (4-0) as well. Kris Dunn and Jalen Lindsey each scored 15 points.

Aaron Thomas had 16 points and Montay Brandon chipped in 13 for Florida State (1-2).

The Friars sprinted out to a 34-19 advantage at halftime by shooting 50 percent from the floor, while holding the Seminoles to six field goals, in the first half.

Providence kept its foot on the gas in the second period, shooting 56.7 percent from the floor. To its credit, Florida State improved to 50 percent shooting, but it wasn't enough to make up the difference.

Providence had a 27-6 scoring edge from 3-point range.
