Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - DaShaun Wiggins scored 32 points off the bench to power the Portland State Vikings to a 90-87 overtime victory against the SIU Edwardsville Cougars in non-conference action at the Stott Center.

Tim Douglas added 17 points for Portland State (3-0). Braxton Tucker tacked on 13 points, Bryce White had 12 and Gary Winston chipped in 11.

Kris Davis registered 25 points for SIUE (1-3), while Keaton Jackson posted 16 and Michael Messer netted 10.

Both teams shot exceptionally well in the first half. Portland State turned in a 55.6 percent effort, which was just better than the 53.1 percent showing put forth by SIUE. The Vikings led, 51-46, at the break.

The Cougars overcame their halftime deficit by shooting 58.3 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes. They managed to pull ahead, 82-80, with just over two minutes to play on a dunk from Jackson, but Tucker forced overtime with a layup with nine seconds remaining.

In the extra session, the Vikings made 2-of-3 field goal tries and 4-of-5 attempts at the free-throw line to pull out the win.
