Corvallis, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarmal Reid netted 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting to lead the Oregon State Beavers to a 76-64 non-conference victory over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos at Gill Coliseum.

Gary Payton II and Olaf Schaftenaar each scored 14 points for Oregon State (9-3), which has won six of its last seven games. Payton added nine rebounds to his stat line in the win. Langston Morris-Walker and Victor Robbins each tallied 11 points, and Malcolm Duvivier added 10 for the Beavers.

Alan Williams notched a double-double for UC Santa Barbara (5-7), netting 16 points with 12 rebounds. Michael Bryson also added 16 points in the defeat, which was the second in a row for the Gauchos.

Oregon State took a slim 37-36 lead into halftime after shooting 44.8 percent from the floor, including 6-of-14 from 3-point range in the first half. Santa Barbara connected on an impressive 60.9 percent of its tries from the floor in the period.

The Beavers went off in the second half, hitting on 52.6 percent of their attempts, adding in 17-of-22 from the free-throw line. The Gauchos made just 39.1 percent from the field and fell behind even further in the losing effort.

Oregon State forced 18 Santa Barbara turnovers that resulted directly in 27 points off giveaways. The Beavers also held a 22-11 margin at the free-throw line.
