Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Joseph Young and Jalil Abdul-Bassit each scored 19 points to lead the Oregon Ducks to an easy 81-59 victory over the Portland State Vikings in a non-conference tilt at Matthew Knight Arena.

Dillon Brooks tallied a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds for Oregon (4-2), while Jordan Bell came off the bench to add a double-double of his own with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Casey Benson chipped in 13 points in the win.

DaShaun Wiggins came off the bench to net a team-high 15 points for Portland State (4-1). Bryce White added 10 points with eight boards, and Braxton Tucker contributed 10 points with six rebounds in the loss.

Oregon was on fire in the first half. The Ducks shot 51.5 percent from the floor in the period and took a 50-30 lead into the intermission. Portland State connected on a dismal 23.5 percent of its field goal attempts in the same frame.

Oregon severely let off the gas in the second half, netting 38.7 percent of its shot tries with a 3-of-9 mark from 3-point range. But the Vikings still couldn't do much, shooting 9-of-32 (28.1 percent) from the floor and 2-of-12 from beyond the arc.

The Ducks utilized a strong transition game, outscoring Portland State 18-2 in fast-break points. The team also outscored the Vikings 33-12 from 3-point distance.
