GAME NOTES: The PSO Mayor's Cup will be up for grabs on Saturday night, as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane visits cross-town rival Oral Roberts in a non- conference showdown at the Mabee Center.

This rendition of the rivalry will make for an even 50 all-time meetings between the two programs. Tulsa has won 32 of the previous 49, including a 74-68 victory last season. That was the fourth win in the last five matchups for the Golden Hurricane.

Tulsa is undergoing quite a transition this season. The Golden Hurricane are entering their first campaign as members of the American Athletic Conference, after spending the previous nine seasons in Conference USA. They also are playing in their first season under Frank Haith, after Danny Manning jettisoned off to Wake Forest following two seasons with the program. They were at least two good seasons, especially when the Golden Hurricane rolled to the C-USA title and an NCAA Tournament appearance as part of a 21-13 campaign in 2013-14.
