Norfolk, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Trey Freeman finished with 24 points and six rebounds as the Old Dominion Monarchs defeated the William & Mary Tribe, 69-62, in non-conference action at the Constant Convocation Center.

Ambrose Mosley added 17 points for ODU (10-1). which has now won seven games in a row. Denzell Taylor paced the Monarchs on the glass with 10 boards.

Marcus Thornton led the Tribe (6-4) with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor. Daniel Dixon scored 16 points, while Omar Prewitt netted 15 points.

William & Mary went into the intermission trailing, 31-26, after it was limited to 4-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc in the opening stanza. The Monarchs made good on only 34.4 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half.

ODU heated up to drain 54.2 percent of its shots from the floor and outrebounded the visitors, 19-9, after the break. The Tribe held a brief lead in the second period, but fell behind by double-digits after the Monarchs went on a 22-8 run.

William & Mary converted only 11-of-20 shots at the charity stripe. ODU enjoyed a 41-24 advantage in the rebounding battle.
