Stillwater, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Phil Forte scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Oklahoma State Cowboys to an 82-68 victory over the Milwaukee Panthers in a non-conference tilt at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Le'Bryan Nash tallied 17 points and Michael Cobbins and Anthony Hickey had 15 apiece for Oklahoma State (4-0).

Steve McWhorter logged 18 points and nine assists for Milwaukee (1-3). Matt Tiby tacked on 10 points.

Oklahoma State opened the game on a 15-5 run and carried a 44-27 lead into the break after shooting 48.5 percent from the floor in the first half. Milwaukee hit on only 39.3 percent in the frame.

The Panthers improved to 59.3 percent shooting in the second half, but the Cowboys easily held on by netting 52.6 percent themselves, while connecting on 14-of-19 from the free-throw line as well.

Oklahoma State scored 22 points off of 17 Milwaukee turnovers.
