New Mexico Lobos VS. Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M (2-1) vs. New Mexico (3-1)

GAME NOTES: In the final day of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, the Texas A&M Aggies will clash with the New Mexico Lobos at Coliseo Roberto Clemente.

Texas A&M made up for a last-second loss against Dayton on Thursday with a 59-50 triumph over the College of Charleston in the second round. The Aggies are now 2-1 overall, with a three-game homestand against New Orleans, Sam Houston State and Arizona State next on the schedule.

New Mexico was upset by Boston College on Thursday, 69-65. The Lobos recovered with a 69-58 win over George Mason in Friday's second round to set up this contest. They play four of their next five games at home beginning against USC next Sunday.

These teams last met in 2009 when New Mexico pulled out an 84-81 victory. The Lobos have won six of seven all-time matchups with the Aggies.

Despite shooting the same percentage from the floor as Charleston, the Aggies pulled out a victory by getting to the free-throw line frequently. They connect a defenseman, but for any player to score 100," said Markov. "It's thanks to all my teammates who supported me and helped me do that. Without them, I never could have done that."

Tomas Plekanec had a goal and an assist, while Brendan Gallagher assisted on both goals to help the Habs win for the eighth time in their last nine games.
