Reno, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - AJ West tallied a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds to pace his Nevada Wolf Pack past the Marshall Thundering Herd, 83-55, in a non-conference battle at Lawlor Events Center.

Marqueze Coleman netted 13 points, and Michael Perez chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for Nevada (3-8), which ended an eight- game losing streak.

Justin Edmonds contributed 10 points for Marshall (4-8) in the loss, while Ryan Taylor netted nine points with seven rebounds. Marshall has dropped two in a row.

Nevada connected on 53.3 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half, despite missing all four 3-point attempts. The team still took a 38-30 lead into the intermission after Marshall shot just 27 percent.

The Wolf Pack dipped to 40.5 percent shooting in the second frame, but made 12-of-17 from the free-throw line. The Herd could only muster 24.1 percent shooting in the period, and made just 1-of-11 from 3-point range.

Nevada held a 30-18 advantage in bench scoring, and owned a dominant 59-35 edge in rebounding over the Herd.
