Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Terran Petteway had 22 points and 10 rebounds as Nebraska defeated Ohio 71-58 in the fifth-place game of the Diamond Head Classic.

Shavon Shields added 22 points for the Cornhuskers (8-4), who have won two straight on the heels of a 1-3 stretch.

Javarez Willis tallied 15 points, eight boards and four assists for Ohio (4-6).

Willis' jumper pulled the Bobcats within 41-39 with 15:45 left, but Nebraska responded with a 10-4 run. A pair of Petteway free throws capped the surge and staked the Huskers to a 51-43 advantage.

Ohio never cut the deficit below four the rest of the way.

Petteway hit two foul shots in the waning seconds of the opening half as Nebraska took a 32-30 edge into the locker room.
