Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Alec Peters scored 26 points and collected eight rebounds as the Valparaiso Crusaders ran away for a 93-58 victory over the Murray State Racers as part of the Challenge in Music City at Municipal Auditorium.

Darien Walker tacked on 18 points and David Skara added 10 for Valparaiso (6-1).

Jeffery Moss had 13 points and Cameron Payne chipped in 12 for Murray State (2-4).

The first half was a competitive affair. The Crusaders led, 43-37, at the break after shooting an even 50 percent from the floor, including a 7-of-12 effort from 3-point range, in the first 20 minutes. The Racers were just behind, connecting on 46.4 percent from the field.

Valparaiso shot a scorching 70.8 percent from the floor in the final period to pull away. Murray State only had seven field goals in the frame.

Valparaiso outscored Murray State in the paint (28-18) and off of turnovers (24-16).
