Bozeman, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Lawrence Alexander netted 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the North Dakota State Bison cruised past the Montana State Bobcats, 72-51, in a non-conference clash at Worthington Arena.

AJ Jacobson chipped in with 15 points for North Dakota State (4-2), while Chris Kading contributed another 13 points. Kory Brown and Carlin Dupree netted 11 points and 10 points, respectively, while Dupree grabbed seven boards in the win.

Michael Dison scored 17 points and dished out four assists to lead Montana State (1-5). Stephan Holm added 11 points off the bench in the loss.

NDSU shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the first half, and buried 5-of-9 from 3-point range to take a 37-27 lead into the intermission. Montana State connected on 39.1 percent shooting in the frame.

The Bison didn't drop much in the second half, netting 46.4 percent of their field goal tries compared to just 29.6 percent for the Bobcats, who fell behind even more en route to the loss.

North Dakota State held a 40-26 advantage in rebounding, and had a 22-12 edge in points in the paint.
