Columbia, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Jabari Brown logged 24 points as the Missouri Tigers bested the South Carolina Gamecocks 82-74 in an SEC matchup at Mizzou Arena.

Jordan Clarkson tallied 22 points for the Tigers (15-4, 3-3 SEC), who have won three of their last five games. Earnest Ross added 14 points.

Brenton Williams notched a game-high 32 points for the Gamecocks (7-12, 0-6), who have lost six in a row. Michael Carrera recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Sindarius Thornwell contributed 14 points.

The Gamecocks struggled mightily in the opening half, shooting just 25.9 from the field and knocking down only seven shots. At the other end, the Tigers' comfortable 50 percent field goal mark gave them a 38-22 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Gamecocks improved to 50 percent shooting, including an 8-of-17 showing from beyond the arc, but the Tigers held off the comeback effort by shooting 59.1 percent.

South Carolina never led in the contest and was outscored in the paint 34-16.
