Starkville, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - J.J. Frazier scored a career-high 37 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Georgia Bulldogs knocked off the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 72-66, in SEC action at Humphrey Coliseum.

Frazier was a perfect 7-of-7 beyond the arc and converted 12-of-14 from the floor overall, while Kenny Gaines added to the scoring effort for Georgia (13-5, 4-2 SEC) with 10 points. Marcus Thornton contributed seven rebounds and four blocked shots as Georgia won for the fourth time in as many games.

Roquez Johnson finished with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds for Mississippi State (9-10, 2-4). Craig Sword and I.J. Ready added to the scoring effort with 13 points and 12, respectively, while Gavin Ware pulled down 12 rebounds as the team had a two-game win streak come to an end.

Georgia entered halftime leading by five, 36-31. The visitors netted 48.0 percent of their field goal attempts in the opening period, which included an impressive 7-of-8 from 3-point distance. The hosts were held to just 35.3 percent accuracy from the floor in the first half.

The visitors continued to shoot well in the second half as Georgia converted 50.0 percent of its field goal attempts. MSU continued its poor shooting effort in the final period, as the hosts made only 32.3 percent of their tries from the field.

Georgia, which registered only six offensive rebounds, converted an impressive 11-of-18 behind the 3-point line.
