Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarvis Summers tallied 22 points and dished out seven assists as the Ole Miss Rebels outlasted the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 79-73, in SEC action at Tad Smith Coliseum.

Stefan Moody scored 14 points, and LaDarius White came off the bench to add 12 points in the win for Ole Miss (13-7, 4-3 SEC). The Rebels have been victorious in three of their last four outings.

Craig Sword netted 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting to pace Mississippi State (9-11, 2-5), which has lost two in a row. Gavin Ware added 12 points, and I.J. Ready chipped in with 10 points in the defeat.

Mississippi State came out firing in the first half, and took a 32-28 lead into the intermission after shooting 54.2 percent from the floor in the opening frame. Ole Miss hit on just 30 percent shooting, and made only 2-of-11 from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs made 56.7 percent from the floor in the second half, but it was the Rebels who won the period after hitting 52 percent from the field, adding in 21-of-27 from the free-throw line to take the lead and the win.

Ole Miss outscored Mississippi State from the charity stripe, 29-6, and held a 23-10 advantage in points off turnovers in the win.
