Oxford, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Will Sullivan nailed six 3-pointers and finished with 21 points as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks posted a 76-63 victory over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds in non-conference action at Millett Hall.

Eric Washington tallied 17 points and eight assists for Miami-Ohio (1-0). Willie Moore chipped in 13 points and Geovonie McKnight tacked on 10.

Trey Kennedy scored 17 points for Southern Utah (0-2). A.J. Hess contributed 14 points and Juwan Major netted 12.

Although Miami-Ohio only shot at a 40 percent clip in the first half, it took a 32-20 lead at the break thanks to a 10-3 scoring edge at the free-throw line.

The RedHawks were much better from the floor in the second half, shooting 65 percent overall, including a 7-of-10 effort from 3-point range. Southern Utah shot 42.3 percent in the second frame.

Miami-Ohio enjoyed a 26-9 advantage in points off turnovers.
