Huntington, WV (SportsNetwork.com) - Behind a career-high 27 points from Duane Notice, the South Carolina Gamecocks made easy work of the Marshall Thundering Herd, 77-59, in a non-conference tilt at Cam Henderson Center.

Notice shot 10-of-18 from the field and made all five of his free-throw attempts for South Carolina (4-3), which has won two straight. Laimonas Chatkevicius netted 15 points, Justin McKie scored 12 points off the bench and Sindarius Thornwell logged a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

For Marshall (3-4), losers of four in a row on the heels of a 3-0 start to the season, Ryan Taylor netted 11, Austin Loop scored 10 and Jay Johnson collected 11 rebounds.

South Carolina's dominance started early, as it outshot Marshall from the field in the field half, 47.1 percent to 17.2 percent, on its way to a 39-20 lead at intermission.

The Gamecocks continued to shoot well from the field in the second stanza (.483) as they led by double digits throughout.

South Carolina scored 25 points off of 19 Marshall turnovers.
