Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Evan Payne scored 24 points to lead Loyola Marymount to a 72-69 win over DePaul in the seventh place game at the Diamond Head Classic.

Payne shot 8-for-10 and made all three of his 3-point tries for ULM (4-8), which had lost six in a row. Ayodeji Egbeyemi added 20 points and Godwin Okonji had 13.

The Lions led by as many as nine points in the second half, but DePaul whittled it down to three following Jamee Crockett's 3-pointer with 17 seconds to play.

Egbeyemi then made two free throws and Aaron Simpson missed from deep at the other end.

Billy Garrett Jr. led DePaul's balanced scoring attack with 16 points. Crockett scored 15 and Tommy Hamilton and Durrell McDonald finished with 12 apiece.

The Blue Demons (6-7) head into Big East play having lost six straight games.
