Ruston, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Hamilton set a new school record with 20 made free-throw attempts as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs dispatched the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, 75-68, in a Conference USA tilt at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Hamilton tied the previous record for free-throw attempts with 23 as he paced the Bulldogs (14-4, 5-0 C-USA) with 30 points. Raheem Appleby added 18 points, while Kenneth Smith tallied 10 assists and seven rebounds to help Louisiana Tech maintain its perfect league record.

Jaquel Richmond led MT (10-8, 3-2) with 14 points. Reggie Upshaw and Jaqawn Raymond scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Perrin Buford just missed a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

The contest went into halftime tied, 35-35, after the Blue Raiders were held scoreless for the final two minutes of the opening stanza. MT hit on 43.3 percent of its field goal tries and held the Bulldogs to a 1-of-7 clip from 3- point range before the break.

Louisiana Tech took control after the break as it shot 40 percent from the field and assisted eight of its 12 makes from the floor. MT was held to 28.6 percent efficiency from the field and racked up only three helpers over the final 20 minutes of the contest. The Blue Raiders missed their final six field goal tries.

Despite the loss, the Blue Raiders outrebounded the hosts, 40-36, and finished with a 37-8 advantage in bench points.
