Las Vegas, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Shaq Goodwin tallied 19 points and eight rebounds to lead the Memphis Tigers to a 72-62 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores as part of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.

Trahson Burrell provided a spark off the bench for the Tigers (2-2) with 15 points. Avery Woodson contributed 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor, while Nick King and Austin Nichols scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Brenton Scott paced ISU (3-3) with 12 points in 25 minutes. Khristian Smith added 10 points and six boards.

The Sycamores were limited to 28 percent efficiency from the field, including a 3-of-12 clip from beyond the arc in the opening period. Memphis took a 40-22 lead into the break after it sank 5-of-8 tries from beyond the arc in the first half.

ISU continued to struggle offensively after the break, where it made good on only 37.5 percent of its field goal tries. Although the Tigers cooled off to connect on just 33.3 percent of their shots from the floor in the second stanza, they converted 16-of-18 attempts at the free-throw line to protect their first half lead.

Memphis dominated on the interior as it finished with a 40-27 edge in total rebounds and outscored the Sycamores, 32-18, in the paint.
