St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Rayvonte Rice scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead his Illinois Fighting Illini past the Missouri Tigers, 62-59, in a non-conference affair at Scottrade Center.

Ahmad Starks chipped in with 13 points, and Malcolm Hill netted 10 in the win for Illinois (9-3), which was the second victory in a row.

Johnathan Williams III paced Missouri (5-6) with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Wes Clark contributed 11 points. The Tigers have dropped two contests in a row.

Illinois took a slim 32-30 lead into halftime after the Illini shot 43.3 percent from the floor in the first frame. Missouri made 40 percent of its shots in the period, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range.

The Tigers stepped it up in the second half, netting 48 percent of their field goal attempts, but went just 2-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Illini connected on 40.7 percent shooting, but managed to tack on an extra point to their lead for the three-point victory.

Illinois held a 30-20 advantage in scoring in the paint, and forced 14 Missouri turnovers that resulted in 13 points.
