Boise, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Derrick Marks pumped in 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor as the Boise State Broncos downed the Idaho Vandals, 86-75, in a non-conference matchup at CenturyLink Arena.

Nick Duncan added 15 points on 6-of-8 efficiency from the field for Boise State (4-1), which also received 14 points courtesy of Anthony Drmic. Mikey Thompson chipped in 12 points and Rob Heyer paced the Broncos on the boards with seven rebounds.

For Idaho (2-2), Mike Scott tallied 31 points and five assists. Bira Seck registered a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards, while Connor Hill chimed in with 14 points.

The Broncos connected on 6-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes of the contest en route to a 38-28 halftime lead. Idaho was limited to 34.6 percent accuracy from the floor in the first half.

Although the Vandals battled back in the second period behind the strength of a 7-of-9 clip from 3-point range, Boise State managed to extend its lead by converting 15-of-19 attempts at the charity stripe after the break.

The Broncos outscored their in-state rival, 21-14, at the free-throw line and also, 36-18, in the paint.
