Spokane, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Wiltjer had 18 points to pace five Gonzaga players in double figures as the 13th-ranked Bulldogs opened their season with a 104-58 blowout of Sacramento State.

Kevin Pangos supplied 16 points, Domantas Sabonis had 14 points and eight rebounds and Byron Wesley totaled 12 points, seven boards and four steals for Gonzaga (1-0), which posted a 29-7 overall record last season.

The Bulldogs gained a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but lost to Arizona in the third round. Gary Bell Jr. ended with 11 points in the win.

Dylan Garrity had 13 points and Cody Demps 10 for the Hornets (0-1), who return all five starters from a season ago, when they went 14-16.

Gonzaga scored 14 straight points to take a 20-7 lead, with Sabonis capping the burst with a jumper at the 12:48 mark. The difference swelled to 60-26 at the half, thanks to the Bulldogs firing at a 59.5 percent rate in the opening 20 minutes.

The Bulldogs were up as many as 49 in the second half.
