For the Yellow Jackets (4-1), Marcus Georges-Hunt and Demarco Cox each finished with 10 points. Georgia Tech finishes out the tournament with a matchup in the fifth-place game against Rhode Island on Sunday.

Matt Lopez led the Broncs (2-4) with 13 points. Rider will play Santa Clara in the seventh-place game on Sunday.

After a tight first half, the teams went into the break knotted at 30-30. Rider shot a healthy 48 percent from the field in the opening stanza, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range. Tech shot 39.4 percent, including just 1- of-6 from beyond the arc.

After the Broncs scored the first two points of the second half, the Yellow Jackets scored the next 11 to take the lead for good. Rider got to within one with just over seven minutes to play but could never complete the comeback, as Georgia Tech held on for the win.

The Yellow Jackets dominated the boards, outrebounding the Broncs, 49-28. Georgia Tech was able to outscore Rider in second chance points, 20-6.
