Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Thornton and Nemanja Djurisic each netted 17 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs to an 82-60 thumping over the Troy Trojans in a non-conference tilt at Stegeman Coliseum.

Charles Mann chipped in with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Kenny Gaines added 12 points and seven boards for Georgia (2-1).

Wesley Person scored a game-high 20 points to lead Troy (1-2). Chris Bilbo just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, and Musa Abdul- Aleem contributed 10 points of his own in the loss.

Georgia connected on 50 percent of its shot attempts in the first half to take a 38-23 halftime advantage. Troy hit only 26.9 percent of its shots in the frame, including just 3-of-10 from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs upped their accuracy to 51.5 percent shooting in the second half, and went 9-of-15 from the free-throw line. The Trojans buried 46.2 percent of their field goal tries, but couldn't make up any ground on the host Bulldogs.

Georgia had a commanding advantage in points in the paint, 56-20, and held an 18-6 edge in points off turnovers.
