Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Thornton netted 16 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead his Georgia Bulldogs to a 64-57 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes in a non-conference tilt at Stegeman Coliseum.

JJ Frazier came off the bench to contribute 15 points in the win for Georgia (5-3). Juwan Parker and Charles Mann added 10 points apiece, with Parker nabbing six rebounds.

Askia Booker scored 20 points to lead all scorers for Colorado (5-2), while Josh Scott tallied a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Xavier Johnson chipped in with 10 points and six boards in the loss.

Georgia came out in the first half and made 54.2 percent of its shots to take a 34-22 lead into the intermission. Colorado hit on just 37.5 percent of its tries from the floor, including 1-of-7 from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs dipped down to an even 40 percent shooting in the second half, but made 11-of-17 at the free-throw line to maintain the lead. The Buffaloes connected on 34.3 percent shooting in the frame, and made just 1-of-10 from distance.

Georgia held a 17-5 advantage in bench scoring, and outscored Colorado from beyond the arc, 21-6.
