San Juan, PR (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Goodman netted 19 points and grabbed five rebounds as the New Mexico Lobos defeated the George Mason Patriots, 69-58, in a non-conference tilt as part of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Coliseo Roberto Clemente.

Deshawn Delaney contributed 16 points and eight rebounds, and Hugh Greenwood added 13 points for New Mexico (3-1), which will play Texas A&M on Sunday.

Shevon Thompson scored 21 points and pulled down 19 rebounds for George Mason (1-3), which plays College of Charleston on Sunday in the continuation of the tournament.

New Mexico came out in the first half and shot 43.3 percent from the floor, ultimately taking a 30-20 lead into the intermission. George Mason only managed a 26.9 shooting percentage, which included a 1-of-6 mark from 3-point range.

The Lobos connected on an even 50 percent of their shots in the second half, and made 14-of-23 from the free-throw line. The Patriots could only increase their shooting accuracy to 39.3 percent in the frame, including 1-of-9 from distance.

New Mexico held a 34-16 advantage in bench scoring, and forced 18 George Mason turnovers that resulted in 16 points.
