Estero, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Julian DeBose paced all scorers with 15 points to lead the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles to a 58-43 victory over the Marist Red Foxes in the first round of the Gulf Coast Showcase at Germain Arena.

Marc-Eddy Norelia logged a double-double off the bench with 11 points and 10 rebounds for FGCU (4-0), which plays San Francisco in Tuesday's semifinals. Brett Comer and Bernard Thompson scored 11 points apiece while combining for nine assists and seven steals.

For Marist (0-3), which falls to the consolation bracket, Manny Thomas, Phillip Lawrence and Nick Colletta each scored nine points.

Neither team shot greater than 29 percent from the field in a sluggish first half, and after the opening 20 minutes the score was knotted at 21-21.

FGCU turned things around in the second stanza by shooting 56 percent from the floor, while Marist continued the struggle at 36.8 percent, as the Eagles pulled away for the 15-point victory.

FGCU held a 42-34 rebounding advantage and outscored Marist in the paint, 30-16.
