Ypsilanti, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Karrington War poured in 18 points to lead the Eastern Michigan Eagles to an easy 64-42 triumph over the Central Michigan Chippewas in a Mid-American Conference showdown at the Convocation Center.

Ward shot 6-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-7 from 3-point range for EMU (16-12, 8-7 MVC), which came into the game having lost two straight. Glenn Bryant added 12 points off the bench for the hosts.

For CMU (10-17, 3-12), Chris Fowler was the only player in double figures with 10 points.

EMU shot just 37.5 percent from the field in the first half, but CMU was even worse at a mere 27.3 percent, as the Eagles carried a 24-19 lead into intermission.

The Chippewas brought their deficit to just one point with 17:49 left in the game, but the Eagles pulled away with an 11-0 run and cruised to the victory from there.

CMU shot just 24.5 percent from field on the evening and had more turnovers (15) than field goals (13).
