Des Moines, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Reed Timmer led a balanced attack for the Bulldogs with 12 points as Drake defeated the IUPUI Jaguars, 73-60, in a non- conference tilt at the Knapp Center.

C.J. Rivers added 11 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting from the floor for Drake (1-3), which also received a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards courtesy of Jacob Enevold. Gary Ricks contributed nine points and five assists, while Kory Kuenstling also netted nine points.

Elijah Ray, Jalen McCallum and Mason Archie scored eight points apiece for IUPUI (2-3).

Drake took a 34-25 lead into the intermission after it connected on 68.4 percent of its field goal attempts in the opening period. The Jaguars were limited to 33.3 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

IUPUI continued to struggle offensively as it was limited to a 2-of-9 clip from 3-point range after the break. The Bulldogs sank 55.6 percent of their field goal tries over the final 20 minutes of the contest to extend their advantage on the scoreboard. Drake led by as many as 20 in the second stanza.

The Bulldogs outscored the visitors, 42-28, in the paint in the contest.
