Rosemont, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Billy Garrett scored 15 points to lead five players in double figures for the DePaul Blue Demons, who recorded a 78-67 win over the Northern Illinois Huskies in non-conference play at Allstate Arena.

Myke Henry also had 15 points for DePaul (4-1). Forrest Robinson added 14 points off the bench and Jamee Crockett and Tommy Hamilton tacked on 13 apiece.

Aaric Armstead finished with 16 points for Northern Illinois (3-2). Chuks Iroegbu and Darrell Bowie each had 15 points.

In the first half, DePaul connected on an even 50 percent of its field goal attempts, including a 6-of-11 showing from beyond the arc. Northern Illinois did not have a single 3-pointer in the frame, while shooting 44.4 percent from the field overall.

Despite improving to 52.2 percent shooting in the second half, the Huskies could not overcome the Blue Demons, who heated up to 58.3 percent shooting themselves.

DePaul scored 30 points off of turnovers. Northern Illinois had a 34-26 scoring edge in the paint.
