Recap: Dartmouth vs. Harvard
Hanover, NH (SportsNetwork.com) - Laurent Rivard paced four teammates in double figures with 15 points, as the Harvard Crimson made easy work of the Dartmouth Big Green, 80-50, in Ivy League action at Leede Arena.
Rivard shot 3-of-4 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 at the foul line for Harvard (15-3, 2-0 Ivy), which has won two of three. Siyani Chambers and Brandyn Curry both netted 14 points for the visitors, while Steve Moundou-Missi chipped in 12 points.
For Dartmouth (7-9, 0-2), losers of five straight, Connor Boehm and Malik Gill scored 16 points apiece, with the latter adding six steals as well.
Harvard set the tone early, running out to a 21-6 lead in the first 12 minutes before eventually taking a 37-20 advantage at the break. The Crimson shot a lofty 56 percent from the field in the opening stanza and held the Big Green to just 37.5 percent shooting.
The Crimson actually improved after halftime, draining 15-of-19 from the floor (.789) and 7-of-7 from the line as they cruised to the 30-point victory.
Harvard shot a blistering 10-of-14 from beyond the arc, while Dartmouth was just 3-of-9 from long distance. The Crimson's hot shooting helped mask a game- high 22 turnovers.
