Recap: Clemson vs. Florida State

Clemson, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Xavier Rathan-Mayes finished with 17 points, nine assists, five rebounds and four steals as Florida State held off Clemson by a 59-55 score on Monday.

Devon Bookert scored 14 points and Montay Brandon netted seven points for the Seminoles (10-9, 2-4 ACC), who ended a three-game skid.

Jaron Blossomgame had 10 points and eight rebounds while Rod Hall and Donte Grantham scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Tigers (10-8, 2-4), who were coming off a 66-53 win over Syracuse on Saturday.

The Tigers clawed back from a 28-22 halftime deficit and cut the margin to three points after DaMarcus Harrison ended a 7-2 spurt with a triple for a 49-46 game with 5:41 to play.

After Bookert supplied five points during a 7-0 Florida State response, Harrison knocked down a 3-pointer and Hall made three free throws to make it a four-point game with 1:14 to play.

Blossomgame's layup with 59 seconds remaining made it a 56-54 game. Hall and Bookert each split a pair of free throws as it remained a two-point game with 23 seconds to go.

Harrison's 3-point attempt clanked off the rim and Rathan-Mayes went the other way for a layup to seal the win for the Seminoles.
