Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Johnson scored 13 points and made a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line as the Cincinnati Bearcats took down the UCF Knights, 56-46, in American Athletic Conference play at CFE Arena.

Troy Caupain chipped in with nine points and had three steals for Cincinnati (14-5, 5-2 AAC), which has won three straight contests. Octavius Ellis pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds in the win.

Kasey Wilson tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards to pace UCF (9-10, 2-6). Daiquan Walker contributed 11 points, and Brandon Goodwin added 10 points and five rebounds in the defeat, which was the third in a row for the Knights.

Cincinnati employed a strong defensive effort in the game, and held UCF to just 33.3 percent shooting in the first half to take a 29-24 lead into the intermission. Cincinnati hit on 45.8 percent of its tries in the frame.

The Bearcats slipped to 34.8 percent shooting in the second half, but their defense stayed consistently strong by limiting the Knights to 32.1 percent shooting as Cincinnati built on its first-half advantage.

Cincinnati held a 15-7 edge in points off turnovers over UCF, and outscored the Knights from the free-throw line in the win, 13-8.
