Berkeley, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyrone Wallace scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the California Golden Bears squeezed past the Wyoming Cowboys, 45-42, in a non-conference clash at Haas Pavilion.

Christian Behrens added 12 points and eight rebounds of his own in the win for California (8-1).

Larry Nance Jr. paced Wyoming (8-2) with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double in the defeat. Charles Hankerson Jr. chipped in with eight points and eight boards.

Neither team was dangerous shooting the ball in the game. Wyoming connected on 29.2 percent from the floor, including 2-of-10 from 3-point range, to take a 16-15 lead at the end of the first half. California hit on just 26.1 percent of its attempts in the opening frame.

The Golden Bears picked it up in the second half, shooting 44.8 percent from the field. The Cowboys made 36.4 percent of their tries, but allowed Cal to move slightly ahead for the win.

California held a 10-5 advantage in points off turnovers, and a slight 22-20 edge in points in the paint.
