Fullerton shot a solid 14-of-27 from the field in the opening 20 minutes and took a 36-27 lead into the locker room. The Titans also outrebounded the Panthers in the first half, 20-13.

FIU played better defense in the second half as it blocked four shot attempts and held Fullerton to just a 31.8 shooting percentage in the period. Unfortunately, the Panthers shot a below average 10-of-25 from the field and didn't have enough offense to pull out a victory.
