Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Josiah Heath poured in a game-high 23 points to go with seven rebounds, and the Canisius Golden Griffins claimed an 82-59 win over Bowling Green in second-round action of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament at the Stroh Center.

Jamal Reynolds (11 rebounds) and Jeremiah Williams each scored 16 points for the Golden Griffins (18-14), while Kassius Robertson added 14 points off the bench behind a 4-of-7 effort from the perimeter.

Jehvon Clarke led the way with 17 points for the Falcons (21-12), who were sent packing after recording their first 20-win season since 2001-02. Richaun Holmes had a double-double in defeat, finishing with 14 points and 11 boards.

BGSU shot just 28.6 percent from the floor and went 2-of-14 from the perimeter in the first half, as Canisius built a 38-25 halftime lead. Heath scored 15 of his 23 points in the opening frame.

The Griffs put the game away with a 59.3-percent shooting effort in the second stanza, which included 7-of-14 efficiency from distance. Robertson was a big part of that, as he scored all 14 of his points after halftime.

Canisius, which committed only seven turnovers for the game, now heads to the quarterfinals next week to face an opponent to be determined.
