Boston College Eagles VS. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Recap: Boston College vs. Georgia Tech

Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Olivier Hanlan scored the game-winning layup with 10.9 seconds left to give Boston College a 66-65 victory over Georgia Tech in the first round of the ACC Tournament.

Hanlan's go-ahead shot capped a 25-point effort for the junior guard and lifted the 12th-seeded Eagles (13-18) into a matchup with No. 5 seed North Carolina on Wednesday.

Georgia Tech (12-19) had a 63-57 lead with under two minutes remaining, but Boston College went on a 7-0 run to go ahead. Hanlan began the flurry with two free throws, Patrick Heckmann was fouled on a 3-point attempt and made all three shots from the line, and Hanlan scored off a steal from Dimitri Batten with 41 seconds to play.

After the Yellow Jackets moved back in front on Tadric Jackson's jumper on the ensuing possession, Hanlan dribbled towards the baseline before pulling back and knocking down his shot for a 66-65 edge.

Georgia Tech's Corey Heyward then drove into the lane and put up a layup attempt that caromed off the rim as time expired.

Heckmann finished with 19 points and Hanlan added eight rebounds for Boston College, which held a 35-34 advantage at halftime in a game that featured 15 lead changes.

Jackson paced the 13th-seeded Yellow Jackets with 16 points, with Charles Mitchell posting 14 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.
