Little Rock, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - James White scored a game-high 17 points as he helped guide the Trojans of Arkansas-Little Rock to a 73-68 win over the UNKC Kangaroos as part of the Maui Invitational Regional Tournament at the Jack Stephens Center.

White, who shot 7-of-14 from the floor, added seven rebounds and four blocked shots for the Trojans (2-1) as well. Josh Hagins tacked on 11 points and Ben Dillard 10 more for UALR.

The Kangaroos (2-2) were led by Reese Holliday and his double-double consisting of 14 points and 10 rebounds in the losing cause. Just ahead of him in the scoring department were Martez Harrison and Frank Williams with 15 points apiece, while Deshon Taylor chipped in 10. Shayok Shayok pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, but shot only 1-of-5 from the field and was charged with six of the team's 18 turnovers.

UMKC led by as many as 10 points just over 12 minutes into the first half, but the team allowed the hosts to connect on 4-of-9 behind the 3-point line in the period and draw to within four at the break, 34-30.

In the second half UALR erupted for not only 59.1 percent shooting from the floor, but also 15-of-18 at the free-throw line, allowing the Trojans to complete the comeback bid.

UALR outscored the 'Roos 19-9 at the charity stripe, helping the home team to overcome a massive 21 turnovers.
