Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Levi Randolph erupted for a game-high 28 points as the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 76-71, in the third place game of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center.

Randolph converted all 10 of his attempts at the charity stripe and also led Alabama (4-1) with three steals. Ricky Tarrant provided the Crimson Tide with a huge spark off the bench, as he netted 21 points in 27 minutes of action.

Gerry Blakes paced the Sun Devils (3-2) with 21 points and nine boards. Eric Jacobsen contributed 13 points, Bo Barnes scored 11 points and Jon Gilling netted 10 points for ASU.

The Sun Devils took a 30-27 lead into the intermission after they connected on 44.4 percent of their field goal attempts in the opening stanza. Alabama was limited to just 28.6 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

The Crimson Tide battled back by sinking 59.1 percent of their shots from the floor along with 18-of-19 attempts at the charity stripe after the break. The second half featured seven ties and the same number of lead changes. Randolph gave Alabama a lasting, 70-68 lead with 45 seconds remaining in regulation with a made jumper.

Despite the loss, ASU outscored the Crimson Tide, 30-20, in the paint.
