Tuscaloosa, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Paced by 19 points from Levi Randolph, the Alabama Crimson Tide held on to beat the Western Carolina Catamounts, 80-74, as part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at Coleman Coliseum.

Randolph knocked down all 11 of his free-throw attempts for Alabama (2-0). Ricky Tarrant came off the bench to score 18 points, Jimmie Taylor notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Shannon Hale added 10 points.

For WCU (0-2), James Sinclair poured in a game-high 31 points on 10-of-18 from the field. Rhett Harrelson and Mike Brown netted 13 and 12 points, respectively, and Torrion Brummitt hauled in 10 rebounds.

Alabama outshot WCU from the field in the first half, 50 percent to 35.5 percent, as it carried a 41-33 lead into intermission.

The Catamounts climbed their way back in the game early in the second half, taking a 50-49 lead with under 13 minutes to play after ripping off an 11-2 run. WCU held a lead with under five minutes left when Justin Coleman drained a 3-pointer to give the Tide a lead it would never relinquish. The hosts hit 6-of-6 from the foul line in the final 22 seconds to seal its fate.

Alabama outscored WCU at the foul line by a commanding 32-15 advantage, which helped make up for a poor night from 3-point range (2-of-17).
