Players like Dell Curry and Mugsy Bogues aided Carter in leading this franchise in its first playoff appearance in 1999. Though the Raptors would never win the big title game, they did make it into the playoffs two consecutive years after 1999.

Keeping Vince Carter might have helped, but once he left the Raptors fell back down in the standings. They did have a period of success after Carter by acquiring big man Chris Bosh to lead the team. Under him, the Raptors won its first division championship in 2007. Once again though, Bosh has left for greener pastures and the Raptors picked up the pieces of their franchise in 2010.

In Canada, there is no bigger sport than hockey and the city of Toronto has an NHL team called the Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs fans are the most diehard in the NHL and watching the Leafs play is always exciting. The Blue Jays are another team based here as part of the American League East Division of MLB. The Blue Jays were the first expansion team to win back to back championships in 1992 and 1993. Another small market team found here is the Argonauts who play in the Canadian Football League.
