This California Privacy Notice ("California Notice") supplements the Stub.com Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of California. It describes how Stub.com ("Stub.com," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, sells, or shares personal information and explains the rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA").

This may include customer service communications and other electronic communications with Stub.com.

Inferences

We may derive information regarding interests or preferences based on information such as events, performers, teams, venues, or ticket categories you search for, view, or purchase.

Sensitive Personal Information

Depending on how you interact with Stub.com, sensitive personal information may include account login credentials or certain information used to process, verify, or protect transactions.

Payment card information may be collected and processed by the ticket seller, payment processor, or other third party responsible for processing your transaction.

Stub.com does not use sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about consumers except as permitted by applicable law.

Ticket Sellers and Fulfillment Partners

Stub.com acts as an intermediary between customers and third-party ticket sellers. Information may be provided to ticket sellers and fulfillment partners as necessary to process, fulfill, deliver, verify, or otherwise service a ticket order.

Payment and Transaction Providers

Information may be processed by ticket sellers, payment processors, financial institutions, fraud prevention providers, and other parties involved in processing or securing transactions.

Service Providers

We may provide personal information to companies that perform services on our behalf, including providers of:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure;
  • Data storage;
  • Customer communications;
  • Email services;
  • Customer service;
  • Analytics;
  • Website optimization;
  • Cybersecurity;
  • Fraud prevention;

Advertising and Analytics Partners

We may allow advertising, analytics, and technology providers to collect or receive certain information through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies.

Stub.com does not sell personal information for monetary compensation.

However, California law defines "sale" and "sharing" more broadly than an exchange of personal information for money.

Our use of certain advertising, analytics, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies may result in disclosures of personal information that are considered a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.

During the preceding twelve (12) months, depending on the technologies used on Stub.com, the categories of personal information that may have been sold or shared may include:

  • Identifiers, including IP addresses, cookie identifiers, and device identifiers;
  • Internet or other electronic network activity;
  • Commercial information;
  • Approximate geolocation information; and
  • Inferences regarding interests or preferences.

These categories may be sold or shared with advertising networks, analytics providers, social media platforms, and other advertising or technology partners.

Stub.com does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

6. Retention of Personal Information

If you are logged into a Stub.com account and applicable law requires us to associate the preference with your account, we will do so as required by law.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

California law provides consumers with the right to limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information.

Stub.com does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit unless otherwise disclosed.

If our practices change and California law requires us to provide this right, we will provide an appropriate method for exercising it.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

9. Verification of Requests

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain privacy requests.

Verification procedures will depend on the nature of the request and the information involved. We may request information reasonably necessary to confirm that you are the person about whom we collected the personal information.

Information submitted for verification will be used for verification, fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes.

We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot reasonably verify the request.

10. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit certain CCPA requests on your behalf.

We may require the authorized agent to provide proof that you gave the agent permission to submit the request and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.

We will process authorized agent requests in accordance with applicable California law.

11. Response to Requests

We will confirm receipt of applicable consumer requests and respond within the time periods required by California law.

If additional time is reasonably necessary and permitted by law, we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it.

We generally do not charge a fee for processing verifiable consumer requests. We may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act on requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive where permitted by law.

12. Notice at Collection

At or before the point where we collect personal information, California residents are entitled to information about:

  • The categories of personal information being collected;
  • The purposes for which those categories will be used;
  • Whether those categories are sold or shared; and
  • The length of time we intend to retain the categories of information or the criteria used to determine the retention period.

13. Children's Privacy

Stub.com does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Stub.com does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

If we learn that we have collected information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

14. California "Shine the Light"

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits certain California residents to request information regarding certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
