Michael Buble was born in British Columbia, Canada, in 1975 and began his dreams of stardom at the tender age of two. He credits his grandfather as having the greatest influence on his musical tastes and love of jazz. While he was a fan of the mainstream rock and roll as he was growing up, his grandfather brought jazz into his awareness along with even paying for his singing lessons. His grandfather would trade his services as a plumber to local clubs in exchange for Michael getting some stage time to perform.

He appeared in a few talent shows as a young man and won them with ease but was disqualified from the first one due to being underage. After winning the second talent contest, he began to be represented by the organizer of the first contest and the person who actually had him disqualified. The organizer represented him for the next seven years as he played every conceivable gig possible. He had been know to appear in more talent shows, cruise ships, private parties and even singing telegrams for a time.

In 2000, he finally got his big break through an odd chain of events that included a former aide to the Prime Minister of Canada. The aide was at a business party where Michael was performing and got his hands on a copy of his self produced album. The aide showed the album to Prime Minister Mulroney and Buble was subsequently invited to sing at his daughter's wedding. While at the wedding, his performance was overheard by David Foster, who had produced albums with Michael Jackson, Cher, Madonna and a host of other artists.

Initially, Foster did not want to sign him but after an agreement was reached regarding production costs, he signed him with Warner Brothers Records in Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, Michael also did some acting in movies and on television to help make ends meet. He recorded and released his first album in 2003 and it was the prelude to his 2004 tour. He continues to tour the country and the world bringing adult contemporary to music fans everywhere.
