Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – Denver Broncos coach John Fox was released from a North Carolina hospital on Friday after undergoing a heart procedure earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Fox was taken by ambulance to the hospital on Saturday after complaining of lightheadedness during a golf outing and underwent successful aortic heart valve replacement on Monday.<\/p>\n
“I am truly thankful for every single thought and prayer that was directed my way,” said Fox in a statement released by the Broncos on Friday.<\/p>\n
“My recovery is progressing well — I am feeling better and getting stronger each day. I will begin the next phase of my recovery in Charlotte and continue outpatient appointments with doctors, who will clear me to return to Denver when the time is right.”<\/p>\n
Fox, who was aware of his condition but waiting for the procedure, added that while he is eager to return to coaching, he will focus on his recovery.<\/p>\n
“I believe in our players and have full confidence in Jack Del Rio and our staff,” Fox added.<\/p>\n
