{"id":7555,"date":"2013-11-06T17:06:00","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T17:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.stub.com\/hq\/news\/canadian-pacific-to-sponsor-lpga-stop\/"},"modified":"2013-11-06T17:06:00","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T17:06:00","slug":"canadian-pacific-to-sponsor-lpga-stop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/canadian-pacific-to-sponsor-lpga-stop\/","title":{"rendered":"Canadian Pacific to sponsor LPGA stop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Daytona Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; The Canadian Women&#8217;s Open has a new name and increased purse.<\/p>\n<p>The LPGA Tour announced Wednesday a three-year partnership with rail carrier Canadian Pacific to become the title sponsor of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Known as the CN Canadian Women&#8217;s Open the past eight seasons under sponsorship by the Canadian National Railway Company, the tournament&#8217;s purse will increase by $250,000 to $2 million, making it one of the four richest LPGA tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Pacific Women&#8217;s Open will be held at London Hunt and Country Club in London, Ontario, from Aug. 21-24.<\/p>\n<p>Teenager Lydia Ko won the event the past two seasons as an amateur.
