Back troubles limited Vollmer to just six games in 2011, and he missed two games with a head injury during his rookie season in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>During the one season (2010) he played and started all 16 games, Vollmer was named a second team All-Pro.<\/p>\n<p>The Patriots filled Vollmer&#8217;s roster spot with Tuesday&#8217;s acquisition of defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga in a trade with Philadelphia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foxboro, MA (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; New England Patriots right offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer was placed on injured reserve Tuesday with a broken bone in his right leg.
